Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use DishPins. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. You must give accurate information when you create your account, keep your sign in details secure, and you are responsible for what happens on your account.

You own the reviews, photos and other content you post. By posting, you give DishPins a worldwide, free license to store, display, copy and share that content in the app and on our website, so other people can see it, and to show it when we promote DishPins. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, because deleted content is removed straight away and we do not keep backup copies.

Only post content you have the right to share. Your reviews must be honest and based on your own experience. Do not post fake reviews, reviews you were paid or rewarded for, or reviews of a business you own or work for.

DishPins has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You may not post, send or do anything that:

• Harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone.
• Is hateful or discriminatory toward anyone based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any similar trait.
• Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexualizes minors in any way.
• Is violent, gory, or encourages violence or self harm.
• Is spam, a scam, misleading, or impersonates someone else.
• Shares someone's private information without their permission.
• Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
• Breaks the law or encourages others to break it.

Photos should be of food, drinks, and the places that serve them.

You can report any review, photo or person in the app, and you can block anyone so you no longer see their content and they cannot interact with you. We review reports promptly. When content breaks these terms we remove it, and we remove the people who posted it from DishPins.

We may remove any content, and suspend or permanently ban any account, that breaks these terms or that we believe puts people using DishPins at risk, with or without notice. We may also report illegal content to the authorities. If your account is banned, you may not create another one.

Reviews on DishPins are written by the people who use it, and restaurant details come from Apple Maps. We do not check every review or restaurant detail, so menus, prices, hours and availability can be different from what you see. Reviews are opinions of the people who wrote them, not of DishPins.

DishPins is provided as is and as available. We do our best to keep it working well, but we cannot promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that the information in it is accurate or complete. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties of any kind about DishPins.

To the fullest extent the law allows, DishPins and the people who make it are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, that come from your use of DishPins, from relying on content posted by others, or from your visit to any restaurant. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us to use DishPins in the 12 months before the claim, which for a free app is zero. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

You can stop using DishPins and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your access as described above. The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue, such as the disclaimer, the limit of liability and the governing law, continue after your account ends.

If you got DishPins from Apple's App Store, Apple's own terms for using apps also apply. These terms are between you and DishPins, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for DishPins or its content.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, in the United States, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law. Any dispute about DishPins or these terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using DishPins after a change, you accept the updated terms.
